Kendrick Lamar Glastonbury 2020 rumours reinforce following BST confirmation

British Summer Time Hyde Park confirmed Kendrick Lamar (as a non-UK exclusive performance) for 2020

Rumours that Kendrick Lamar could be set to headline Glastonbury 2020 have just been reinforced further after an announcement by British Summer Time Hyde Park , confirming that the American rapper will be topping their bill on Sunday, July 5.

Seeing that the announcement did not indicate that this is a “UK exclusive” performance – which basically means Lamar can play any other festival he desires to in the UK that year – fans have intensified their speculation stance on the possibility that the US rapper will be headlining Glastonbury’s 50 anniversary this year.

The news comes following already strong rumours of Lamar supposedly being the remaining headliner yet to be announced for Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary Friday night, and fits in nicely with the clues given by Emily Eavis last year, when she said that two of the headlining acts had never played the festival before, with one being a solo male and the other a solo female.

Taylor Swift has since been announced as the Sunday night headliner for what will be her Glastonbury debut, with Paul McCartney – who has played the Somerset festival before – taking the Saturday night slot.

Swift will also appear at the BST festival in Hyde Park on July 11, with other headliners including Pearl Jam (July 10) and Little Mix (July 4).
